If a random variable X has a binomial distribution. we write X ~ B(n, p) (~ means ‘has distribution…’). n and p are known as the parameters of the distribution . Therefore mean and variance can be calculate by np and npq. Hence we can say  depend on success and failure. Binomial distribution
